The National Health Commission issued a document commending grass-roots community institutions that performed outstandingly last year and the Jinshi Community Health Service Center was among them – being the only one so recognized in Yunyan district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

In recent years, the health service center is understood to have continually expanded its infrastructure and optimized its diagnosis and treatment procedures and protocols, to further meet the medical needs of residents in the district.
The health service center also provides family doctor contracting services, as well as free registration fees and examination fees for regular medical treatment – and a referral fast-track channel with hospitals.
To meet the inpatient treatment needs of residents, the health service center has also set up 108 general inpatient beds to treat patients with respiratory diseases, as well as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
In addition, subsistence allowance reimbursement channels have also been opened. As a result, people can be directly reimbursed when they see a doctor in a community hospital, which greatly improves the convenience of medical treatment for the public.
Moving forwards, plans are for the health service center to strengthen the quality of service skills and improve technical service capabilities.
