Yunyan district of Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – is expected to further expand the establishment of 15-minute community living circles, parking lots and farmer markets in three years, as well as embark on the renovation on shantytowns, old communities and alleyways.
In 2021, the district launched the establishment of the Shibei, Qiandong and Yu'an 15-minute community living circles. In 2022 and 2023, it is understood that another 14 and 12 living circles will be built in Yunyan, respectively.
During the construction, plans are for Yunyan to improve support facilities, such as medical and health centers, nursing homes, junior high schools, primary schools, kindergartens, cultural activity centers, multi-functional sports venues, outdoor comprehensive fitness venues, domestic waste sorting and collection stations, as well as public toilets.
Plans are for there to be no less than 12,100 new public parking spaces built in Yunyan in 2021-23, of which no less than 4,800 spots will be introduced in 2022 and no less than 4,800 in 2023.
New energy vehicle charging facilities are set to be built to service about 20 percent of the parking spaces at multi-story parking lots, regular public parking lots and parking lots for public cultural and entertainment venues.
In three years, 32 new agricultural supermarkets will also be built.
In addition, Yunyan will renovate no less than 61,273 households in shantytowns with an area of 10.36 million square meters, as well as 15,681 old communities with an area of 1.05 million sq m and 244 alleyways in 2021-23.
