Yunyan renews, extends supply terms with Guiyang Water Group

Yunyan district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, signed a renewed and extended supply contract on Feb 11 with Guiyang Water Group Co which is expected to make a difference to the lives of residents.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two sides will undertake more work to boost the water supply security and capacity of Yunyan, ensuring its stable economic and social development, and leading to anticipated improvements in the living standards of locals.

The signing ceremony was attended by Yunyan government head Wang Qian, Party secretary and Guiyang Water Group Co's president Zeng Jun, as well as other district officials and company executives.

Yunyan's Wang said the water supply needs of residents in Yunyan were inseparable from the strong supply guarantees undertaken by Guiyang Water Group Co.

It was to be hoped, he added, that the two sides would take the signing as a starting point, giving full play to their respective advantages and working together to lay a solid foundation for future urban development.

For his part, company president Zeng Jun thanked Yunyan for its long-term concern and support of Guiyang Water Group.

He said the utility would strengthen its cooperation with Yunyan in terms of the water supply pipe network, urban drainage, sewage treatment, environmental protection ventures, and the secondary water supply structure.

This would provide Yunyan with reliable water support and high-quality water supply services, he added.
