Yunyan development zone goes full steam ahead through break

Production continued full steam ahead – even during this year's Spring Festival holiday from Jan 31 to Feb 6 – in the innovation industrial development zone in Yunyan district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The zone insisted on uninterrupted work and output, with machinery and equipment running at full capacity during the period and more than 100 workers on duty.

As the central urban area of the provincial capital, more people and less land is a distinctive feature of Yunyan. To develop industry there, it's believed that the district must first ensure standard workshops and a supply of industrial land.

To help make this happen, on Oct 12 last year, a major renovation project of old factory buildings in the Yunyan industrial development zone kicked off.

With a renovation area of 93,000 square meters, the project will build a number of modern and standardized factories, to become a concentrated development zone for the electronics information and intelligent manufacturing industries.

Under the spotlight of the district and with the complete efforts of the project team, the renovation was completed on Dec 15, 2021.

At present, one main road and four secondary roads outside the factory building and the surrounding green areas are being upgraded and reconstructed to comprehensively improve the development quality of the area.
