Yunyan to build new cultural and creative district

The signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between Guizhou Publishing Group Co and the people's government of Yunyan district was held at the company on Aug 23.

According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate on a Xinhua cultural and creative district project.

Guizhou Xinhua Printing Factory Co – previously located in Yunyan district– has completed its relocation, and the old factory site will be built into the Xinhua cultural and creative district based on the existing old factory area, buildings, and facilities.

As a cultural tourism industrial park project in the central part of Yunyan district, the project will consist of an exhibition hall to showcase the development history of Guizhou Xinhua Printing Factory Co.

The project will also feature geological and cultural tourism, ethnic cultural tourism, red cultural tourism, handicraft tourism, parent-child interactive cultural tourism, and more.

It aims to form a cultural industrial cluster and develop into a benchmark cultural tourism project.

Wang Qian, deputy Party secretary and head of Yunyan district, said at the signing ceremony that the project has far-reaching historical value and practical significance. He expressed hope that the two sides would strengthen communication and matchmaking to jointly promote the rapid completion of the project.
