Yunyan to ramp up power supply improvements

The government of Yunyan district – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – signed a cooperation agreement with the Guiyang Power Supply Bureau on July 23, which will help transform the region's power network.

Under the agreement, Yunyan and the Guiyang Power Supply Bureau will jointly work to boost the carrying capacity of the district's power grid and support its stable economic and social development.

In particular, they will move to speed up construction of major power projects and to renovate power grids in old communities.

They will also identify and fix major safety hazards, bolster power grid operations and improve emergency management to provide a more solid guarantee of power services to ensure the high-quality development of Yunyan during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25).

The signing ceremony was attended by Yunyan government officials and representatives of the Guiyang Power Supply Bureau.
