Yunyan district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, reported regional GDP of 18.65 billion yuan ($2.90 billion) in the first quarter of this year, according to information from the district's government.
The GDP experienced a year-on-year increase of 14.4 percent, and an increase of 9.5 percent compared with the first quarter in 2019. The average increase in GDP was 4.6 percent over the two years.
In terms of industries, the added value of the primary industry was 2.75 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.3 percent, the added value of the secondary industry was 4.83 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.5 percent, and that of the tertiary industry was 13.81 billion yuan, an increase of 11.9 percent.
The added value of the three industries accounted for 0.02 percent, 25.91 percent and 74.07 percent of GDP, respectively.
