Yunyan, Baiyun and Nanming districts in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, rank among China's top 100 counties for science and technology innovation, according to a report released by Guiyang's government on Oct 21.
The ranking covers 2,657 counties, except those administered by Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing, the districts of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and 103 county-level administrative regions in Central China's Hubei province hit hard by COVID-19.
The rankings list was compiled using big data, targeted research, public feedback and expert reviews.
What's impressive about this ranking is that a wide range of data was examined and collected online between Aug 16, 2019, and Aug 15, 2020.
A total of 120 keywords were traced online – including terms related to business environment, the introduction of high-end talents and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements – to collect more than 100 million news stories and messages for the ranking.
