Yunyan district in Guiyang -- capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- held an informal discussion with China Railway Development&Investment Group on July 25, to promote the project of Sanma Smart Eco-city, improve urban functions and raise the city image.
The project of Smart Eco-city, also called Sanma area, is located at the junction of Yunyan, Guanshanhu and Nanming districts.
The project was invested approximately 60 billion yuan($8.59 billion) to build a hinterland of Guiyang's economic and social development, based on the agreement signed on June 5, according to local officials.
Sanma Development&Investment Co reported the recent progress achieved while working with China Railway Investment Group.
Lin Gang, secretary of the Yunyan district Party committee, pointed out that Sanma area is of great potential and is approaching to its turning point of development now. Yunyan will strive for more favorable conditions to ramp up efforts to promote the project construction.
Zhang Runwen, Party secretary and chairman of China Railway Development & Investment Group, said the group will continue to dock with Yunyan district to realize the high-quality planning and construction of the project.
