Yunyan face mask manufacturer to start production

Guizhou Baizhu’an Medical Co, the first face mask manufacturer in the Modern City Industrial Park of Yunyan district – in Guiyang city, capital of China’s Southwest Guizhou province – will start mask production by the end of March, according to district officials.

They said the company recently finished its business license registration via a fast track channel set up by Yunyan district and officially settled in Modern City Industrial Park on March 6.

Officials said it had completed installation of mask production lines and appointed brand promotion teams.

The plant office buildings and workshops, which cover an area of 2000 square meters, with a total investment of about 20 million yuan ($ 2.81 million).

In its first phase, the company will launch three production lines for disposable medical face masks and one for heavy duty N95 mask production.

In its second phase, another six disposable medical face mask production lines will be established. Each line is expected to produce 120 masks per minute.

When the first four production are at full capacity, they will produce a total of 691,200 masks per day, generating annual sales of 300 million yuan.

Officials said the company expects to start production at the end of March, and the first batch of masks will be put onto the market by early April at the latest.
