Intelligent manufacturing facility breaks ground in Yunyan

A high-end intelligent production research and development facility with a total investment of 250 million yuan ($35.9 million) on Dec 14 started construction in the Yunyan district of Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China’s Guizhou province, local officials said.

The facility is being funded by Hongju Thermal Power Group – which produces and operates electrical power and heating equipment and facilities.

The new facility will be located in Yunyan Modern Industrial Park and covers an area of 1.6 hectares.

In the first phase, the company plans to build a 2,000-square-meter plant with a fully-automated production line. 

In the second phase, the company will work with China Railway Equipment Group Co to develop high-end research and production lines for gas and thermal equipment and facilities.

When put into use, it will help the base become the most important of its kind in Guizhou province and even in the Southwest China region.

In addition, the company will introduce a centralized intelligent heating network based on the internet of things and blockchain technology to control the thermal operations of Guizhou province. 

It will also establish multi-energy centralized big data control centers, which will be responsible for the centralized operation of heating and cooling in the province.
