The Yunyang district bureau of commerce -- in Guiyang city in Southwest China's Guizhou province -- has taken measures to increase the return to work of its businesses, promote economic growth and minimize the impact of the novel coronavirus outbreak on production and its citizen's lives, according to local officials.
To achieve a "contactless" delivery system to help reduce the risk of infection, Yunyan set up 355 centralized distribution service outlets to distribute goods after customers shop online.
In addition, Yunyan is encouraging businesses to conduct online sales via live internet broadcasts or short video promotions -- to develop online platforms, such as Tiktok, WeChat, Kuaishou and Weibo.
"Online image and product promotions, marketing and trading can easily be transacted and quickly completed by consumers, which will improve the experience and purchasing power of consumers," local officials said.
The Yunyan bureau of commerce worked with the Guiyang municipal bureau of commerce to roll out a Banma credit app – which issues electronic and paper passes for goods distribution vehicles and couriers entering communities with delivery packages for self-delivery points.
Officials said such contactless deliveries were ensuring safe and efficient shipping of goods to residents.
