Things are getting back to normal after Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, instructed the district's commercial complexes and department stores to resume their operations from Feb 17, according to local officials.
To guarantee a safe shopping experience during the novel coronavirus and epidemic prevention and control measures, Yunyan provided masks and disinfection products to the district’s retailing outlets at cost price.
Yunyan also encouraged them to provide online shopping and deliveries, to avoid contact and reduce the risk of infection. As a result, customers can now order take outs or do their shopping by scanning QR codes.
All the complexes and department stores have taken a series of measures to reopen their doors for business, officials said.
Yunyan's Wanda Plaza now has one exit and one entrance -- to check body temperatures of all customers, who are also required to wear face masks.
According to the Yunyan bureau of commerce, the district launched several policies to help companies lessen the impact on their business brought about by the epidemic.
More support policies are currently underway to smooth the way forwards for commercial businesses to resume work.
