Yunyan district in Guiyang city, in Southwest China's Guizhou province, commonly known as China's Data Valley is looking to step up its digitalization and intelligence, thanks to an agreement signed with Huawei, the country's tech giant, Sept 19.
A signing ceremony was held between representatives from the Yunyan district government and the tech company, while the Huawei Connect 2019 promotion was underway at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.
All-round cooperation will be launched to bolster the development of digitalization, smartness and big data in Yunyan, as the district will provide support through policies, financing and industrial resource integration, according to the agreement.
Also, Yunyan will help Huawei with a variety of application scenarios to extend technological commercialization and intelligence to versatile areas, including the economy, livelihood services and social governance.
Under the move, residents in Yunyan are expected to have more pleasant experiences and gain happiness from modern technologies.
In return, by relying on its strength in research and development and comprehensive technologies, and focusing on information communications technology (ICT), Huawei plans to generate positive development for Yunyan's digital ecosystem and provide complete solutions to digitalize the district.
Upon the signing of the agreement, both sides intend to develop Yunyan into a western China benchmark and national demonstration area in digitalization and intelligence.
