All relevant departments in Yunyan district, Guiyang, in Southwest China's Guizhou province, are being urged to be aware of the development of national and provincial pedestrian malls and launch appropriate actions to advance the development plan, according to a special meeting held by the district Sept 18.
Development of these malls is also part of the district's plan to construct 100 consumer places, 10,000 stores and 100,000 shops, as well as develop five business areas and 11 pedestrian malls.
At present, Yunyan is advancing its efforts on high-level opening and high-quality development, and on the development of new industries, the revitalization of commerce and trade, and of connections between manufacturing and marketing.
Measures to be taken by different departments across the district should be scientific, flexible, connective, profound in culture, and effective in transport optimization, cultural and commercial integration, and development of smart service platforms, according to the meeting.
Strengthening organization, leadership and project progress was also required by the meeting to bring practical achievements in the development of national and provincial pedestrian malls.
