Yunyan to host intangible cultural heritage festival

A colorful festival spotlighting intangible cultural heritages and folk arts selected by Yunyan district in Guiyang will be unveiled to visitors, during the 2019 Qian View on Intangible Cultural Heritage Art Week, held in Guiyang Zhigu Cultural Industry Park, from Sept 20 to 26. 

Hosted by the Guizhou provincial cultural and tourism administration, the Party committee of Yunyan district, the Yunyan district government, and Zhongtian Finance, the Art Week is one of the major activities of the 2019 Colorful Guizhou Cultural Festival. 

This year, the week is expected to serve as a platform showcasing Guizhou's intangible cultural heritages to further promote the inheritance, protection, development, and especially the efforts in "going global" of these heritages.

As an important cultural activity of Yunyan to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the week will not only demonstrate the cultural uniqueness of ethnic groups, intangible cultures, and innovative cultures, but also creative art forms. 

Supporting activities will be launched along the week, setting up intangible cultural spaces, theaters, and forums to attract more visitors to interact with interesting intangible cultural experiences.
