Yunyan district offers apartments for top talents

Yunyan district of Guiyang city, Southwest China's Guizhou province, provides high-quality apartments to better serve talented people, said the district's talent office.

Renovation work on the Yunyan talent apartments has been completed and the apartments are now in use. 

They are located in the academic exchange center of the medical university in Beijing Road, Guiyang, and cover a total construction area of more than 5,000 square meters. Their building has 36 four-star standard apartments for the top talents working in the district. 

Housing is one of the important factors for talents and is also the focus of the district's talent service, said the head of the Yunyan district talent office.

Yunyan formulated talent apartment accommodation management rules to make clear how to apply for the talent apartments.

According to the rules, the talent apartments will provide service for innovative and entrepreneurial talents and enterprise management personnel in large, high-tech enterprises with high efficiency, outstanding comprehensive strength, and great development potential. The enterprises should be in the fields of commerce, the big data and information industry, or the modern service, urban, and tourism and culture industries.

The top talents eligible to apply for the apartment include: academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and winners of the State Preeminent Science and Technology Award; Yangtze River Scholars and candidates of the recruitment program of global experts; young and middle-aged experts who have made outstanding contributions; experts in economic and financial engineering technology, science, education, culture and health; talents with senior professional and technical titles; talents with associate professional and technical titles; and senior technicians and talents with special skills urgently needed in Yunyan district .

Entrepreneurial talents applying for the apartment need to bring funds, technology or projects to the district, and register their companies in the district. Innovative talents applying for the apartment must have worked in the district's enterprises for no less than half a year and management personnel need to have signed a labor contract with the employer for more than one year. 

The rental period of the talent apartment is no more than three years, of which the first year is free, and the last two years are charged based on the minimum rental standard of public rental housing in Yunyan district.
