Guizhou province is establishing itself as a key player in China's logistics network, transitioning from a peripheral region to a core transportation hub.

Central to this transformation is the Guiyang International Land Port, which has shifted its focus from traditional goods, including home appliances and furniture, to high-demand products such as electric vehicles and lithium batteries.

The port now connects to 148 countries and 580 regions, serving as a crucial node for the China-Europe Railway Express, the China-Laos Railway, and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

The Guizhou International Consolidation and Distribution Center, adjacent to the port, plays a pivotal role in expanding the region's access to global markets. Another significant development is the Guizhou Shuanglong Bonded Logistics Center, which enhances the province's cross-border e-commerce ecosystem.

The facility, specializing in logistics warehousing, is attracting major companies such as Colorful Guizhou Airlines and Sinopharm, with plans to expand into bonded aviation materials, imported pharmaceuticals, and airport duty-free goods.

Another notable achievement is the dispatch of over 20,000 standard containers by Guizhou Multimodal Transport Co via four-direction container trains from January to November.

The province has also launched its first direct flight from Guiyang to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Bijie Customs has optimized the inspection process for perishable agricultural products through innovative measures, including cloud issuance and self-printing of certificates of origin.

These efforts have boosted Bijie's fresh apple exports to Southeast Asia, with 830.82 metric tons exported from January to September, accounting for 62.08 percent of the province's fruit exports.

Guizhou's global connectivity expansion is further reflected in its enhanced port services, with Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport implementing an online foreign entry card system that took effect on Nov 20.

Authorities have also improved wireless network coverage, displayed QR codes and website links on LED screens, upgraded declaration equipment, and installed intelligent terminals and emergency scanning devices to better serve foreign travelers.
