Guiyang pioneers innovative consumer models

Guiyang has been chosen as a pilot city for pioneering new consumer trends, models, and scenarios, according to a recent announcement by the Ministry of Commerce.

The pilot program is designed to assist selected cities in enhancing their economic service systems, creating innovative consumer service scenarios, improving the quality of consumption, and broadening service consumption.

The initiative aims to facilitate the entry of high-quality foreign trade products into the domestic market, cultivate new growth points in consumption, and encourage emerging consumer trends to boost consumer vitality.

Central government funding will support these pilot cities, with subsidies allocated according to city size: mega and super-large cities will each receive 400 million yuan ($56.50 million), large cities 300 million yuan, and other cities 200 million yuan.
