Hu Zhongxiong, Party secretary of Guiyang, led a delegation to South Korea from Nov 27 to 29 to promote economic and cultural exchanges.
During the visit, Hu met with Jeon Hyung-sik, vice-governor of Chungcheongnam-do, to discuss strengthening personnel exchanges and economic cooperation. Jeon expressed Chungcheongnam-do's commitment to deepening practical cooperation with Guiyang.
The delegation also held discussions with South Korean National Assembly member Moon Jin-seok and Woo Soo-geun, chairman of the Korea-China Friendship Association, on cooperation in economy, tourism, cultural education, and big data.
Hu visited Lotte Logistics Group and LG Electronics Innovation Park, where he discussed potential collaborations and witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements. He encouraged mutual learning and trust between enterprises.
At the Korea Guizhou Chamber of Commerce, Hu unveiled the chamber's plaque and emphasized the importance of promoting cooperation in various sectors.
On Nov 28, the "Refreshing Guiyang" Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Seoul, featuring tourism promotion activities and the release of the Guiyang International Official Guide.
