To fully unleash local consumption potential and boost the upgrading of services and consumer products, the city of Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou province rolled out the "2024 Cool Guiyang · 520 Shopping Festival · Special Love for Special You" activity on May 18-20, in which all shopping complexes, supermarkets and catering businesses in the city participated.
A series of festivals targeting imported commodities, the latest consumer products, digital products, and jewelry will be held. Participating market entities were encouraged to issue discount plans and coupons to consumers.
In response to the national call for old-for-new services to stimulate consumption, Guiyang has cooperated with automobile, home appliance and furniture sales agencies to provide one-stop old-stuff recycling services.
More than 300 catering business operators were encouraged to register on the municipal welfare service application "Cool Guiyang" and roll out preferential packages for their products and services listed on the platform.
Relying on major online and offline imported commodity sales channels, Guiyang will also host a slew of sales promotion activities for imported cosmetics, daily necessities, furniture, food and alcoholic beverages.
