Guizhou holds consumption promotion, business environment work meeting

On Oct 24, a provincial work conference on promoting consumption and optimizing the business environment was held in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

It was pointed out at the conference that since the beginning of this year, the local consumer market has continued to recover, especially tourism consumption. It was stated that efforts should be made to promote consumption growth through multiple measures.

It was also stated that consumption scenario innovation is needed, as is the integration of culture, sports, and tourism development, and that the development of key areas such as commercial districts, characteristic street blocks, and tourist attractions should be accelerated.

It was also concluded at the conference that it is important to enrich the supply of key commodities, organize various promotional activities, optimize and upgrade consumption structures, better meet the diverse quality-oriented demands of consumers, increase the incomes of residents, especially farmers, and enhance their willingness and ability to consume.

Attendees of the conference agreed that the business environment is the most important thing for regional development. Government officials were urged to adhere to problem-oriented approaches, help solve difficulties faced by enterprises in financing, use different big data methods, improve the information platform for government-finance-enterprise coordination, promote the accurate matching of financial supply and demand, reduce corporate financing costs, formulate investment attraction policies, build a fair and competitive market environment, and promote the healthy development of the private economy.
