Guiyang's bureau of commerce held a seminar recently to discuss work procedures and challenges in promoting the export of second-hand cars, with the goal of improving the city's operation in this industry.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from municipal government bodies in charge of public security, taxes, customs, commerce promotion, and foreign currency, as well as representatives from banks and other financial institutions.
Officials answered concerns raised by local enterprises involved in the second-hand car export business in vehicle transfers, customs clearance, export rebates, and certificates of origin.
The bureau urged officials to strengthen coordination among departments for the reason that the second-hand export involves many departments and has a longer business chain. The bureau is expected to formulate a second-hand car export guide as soon as possible.
Enterprises qualified for the business were required to complete their second-car aftersales service systems and carry out their business effectively.
