The consumer price index (CPI) of Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, increased 0.6 percent year-on-year, 1.4 percentage points less than in January this year.
The price of food, drinks and cigarettes, clothing, living necessities and related services, housing, and other items and services increased by 1.8 percent, 1.5 percent, 1.3 percent, 0.4 percent and 2.2 percent, respectively, while prices for transportation, healthcare and education, and culture and entertainment were down by 1.1 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent.
The month-on-month CPI growth rate for Guiyang in February was consistent with the national level, and ranked 18th among 36 large and medium-sized cities in China.
