Guiyang to facilitate consumption recovery

In a recent interview on Feb 8, Liu Lisha, head of the Guiyang bureau of commerce, revealed the bureau's major tasks for this year.

The bureau will make every effort to facilitate the recovery of consumption and raise the level of opening-up.

In boosting consumption, measures will be taken to promote the quality of traditional consumption, cultivate new-type consumption, and advocate green consumption. The government will work harder to spur the vitality of business pedestrian streets and encourage sellers to add more cultural and tourism elements to their products.

Livestreaming e-commerce and community-based e-commerce will be further supported. In addition, Guiyang will further improve its commercial system and agricultural product supply chain, as well as tap into the rural purchasing potential.

Meanwhile, the city will fulfill the functions of ports, encourage the development of bonded processing, bonded logistics and other bonded businesses in two local comprehensive bonded zones, and deepen economic and trade collaboration with members under the framework of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership and nations involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The government will also seek to optimize its trading structure, increase the number of market players, expand its export scale, and attract more foreign investment.
