The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has authorized its sub-council in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, to provide commercial certification services, approving two staff members from the Guiyang council to carry out the service, local media reported.

The Guiyang council will issue relevant commercial certification in an equitable and objective manner and promote the development of the city's international trade, officials said.

The commercial certification service is provided, upon application, by the CCPIT according to China's laws and relevant regulations and international commercial practices in order to certify the documents and facts relating to commercial activities. Such certification applies to a wide range of areas, including international commodity trade, service trade, technical trade, international contracting projects, bidding, intellectual property, foreign-related trade lawsuits, investment and maritime affairs.

As an independent third party, CCPIT issues commercial certificates on an equal and impersonal basis, and the certificates are recognized by the governments, customs authorities, chambers of commerce and enterprises in more than 200 countries all over the world.

CCPIT has authorized almost a hundred local branches around the country to issue commercial certificates. The certified documents help facilitate customs clearance, business visa applications, the identities of investors being confirmed by competent authorities and the products obtaining market admission.

The certification service helps companies, enterprises and business communities to explore the international market and serves as a medium connecting international rules and international practices.
