The Guiyang youth cross-border e-commerce entrepreneurship and innovation competition is set to begin on Feb 1, with young entrepreneurs and college students signing up since Jan 8, according to sources from the Guiyang bureau of commerce on Jan 4.
The competition, held by Guiyang's bureaus in charge of commerce, human resources, education, and comprehensive bonded zones, features the tagline "new business opportunities, new employment directions". It was designed to provide a platform for ambitious young people in cross-border e-commerce to showcase their abilities against the backdrop of Guiyang's burgeoning e-commerce industry.
The competition will last until March 10, both online and offline, and will also feature training and practice. Sign-up, primary contests and semi-finals will be held online, with the finals and the award ceremony to take place onsite.
To ensure fair play and transparency, cross-border e-commerce experts and business insiders will be invited to form a review committee.
A total of 11 awards have been established. Players qualifying for the finals will receive an entrepreneurship and innovation fund of up to 20,000 yuan ($2,930).
