A commercial building identification and classification standard was issued on Nov 1 by the Guiyang bureau of commerce in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The regional document was formulated under the framework of national commercial building standards and based on the practices being implemented in Chengdu, Guangzhou and Changsha, as well as the special conditions in Guiyang and Guian New Area.
It defines and classifies the evaluation methods for commercial buildings. For example, commercial buildings are classified into four categories based on a number of aspects – hardware and facilities, operational services, business promotion results, industry intensity, building services, and their contributions to the economy and society.
The standard will offer practical guidance on the development quality of commercial building and the transformation and upgrading of the industrial economy.
