Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province have implemented a new development philosophy, focusing on improving the business environment, further opening-up, and creating a more enabling environment for innovation ever since the holding of the 18th CPC National Congress.
Over the past 10 years, the government has worked out measures to offer better services to residents and enterprises, attracting a group of corporations including Geely, BYD, CATL, Apple, Tencent to build workshops and manufacturing bases in the area.
Guiyang was selected as one of China's most high-performing cities from 2016 to 2018. In 2020, it was among the country's top 10 cities most suitable for investments.
