Guiyang issues subsidies to revitalize economy

The municipal government of Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has implemented a series of measures to counteract the recurrent COVID-19 pandemic outbreaks.

Business entities – ranging from sole traders and partnerships up to major companies – that have offered jobs to migrant workers this year will be subsidized at the rate of 500 yuan ($36.45) for each migrant worker they have hired.

Enterprises that have signed labor contracts with college graduates this year and have granted them unemployment insurance will receive a subsidy of 1,500 yuan for each graduate.

Human resources service institutions, labor service companies, labor service cooperatives and other such market players who have helped impoverished people, rural low-income individuals, and relocated residents to be employed again will be granted 500 yuan for each person they helped.

In addition, catering, retailing, tourism, civil aviation and other transport sectors are to be allowed to postpone the payment of their employees' insurance fees.
