The bureau of commerce of Xiuwen county – administered by Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – has been busy organizing its kiwi fruit growers and express logistics companies to resume work and production.

The aim is to help fully restore the development of the county's lucrative kiwi fruit sector and to expand sales.

In order to boost deliveries of the crop, logistics group SF Express established six delivery points in Xiuwen this year, so the product could be efficiently collected and transported.

To date, the county has received more than 70,000 orders for kiwi fruit this year, totaling more than 800 metric tons.

In addition, Xiuwen has made use of e-commerce platforms to promote business and pre-sales have started on platforms including JD, Douyin and Pinduoduo.

Online service channels and WeChat service groups have been established to provide e-commerce guidance, product matchmaking, express and other services for kiwi fruit producers, e-commerce companies and purchasing companies – to help companies and growers sell kiwi fruit online as soon as possible.

Moving forwards, plans are for Xiuwen to create an e-commerce cloud warehouse, to reduce  operating costs and boost the market competitiveness of Xiuwen's kiwi fruit.
