Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian on July 25 posted on his Twitter four photos of Qingyun pedestrian street, which is located in Nanming district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, and remarked that the renovated pedestrian street provides a boost to the night economy in Guizhou.
Qingyun Road is a traditional gourmet street for many Guiyang locals. In 2020, the government decided to restructure and upgrade the road. In December 2021, it was transformed into a pedestrian street, which integrates Guiyang's culture with many fashionable elements. Its first phase began operating recently and has become a popular tourist destination in the city.

Qingyun pedestrian street was named Guiyang's first night economy demonstration district in July. It features stores selling scented candles, handicraft classes, and more.
