A press release held on July 18 by the Guizhou government issued a series of major economic indicators for its cities during the first half of this year.
Among them, Guiyang – capital of Guizhou province – registered a GDP of 224.1 billion yuan ($33.14 billion), up 4.6 percent. A total of 86,200 people obtained employment, an increase of 2.87 percent year-on-year.
Meanwhile, the per capita disposable income of rural permanent residents came in at 10,463 yuan, and the city has seen 71,000 new market entities registered, an increase of 10.36 percent year-on-year.
