Cross-border e-commerce firms agree on self-discipline convention

More than 10 Guiyang-based cross-border e-commerce operators signed their names in agreement with a self-discipline convention on June 17 in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

In 2018, the city was among the third group in the nation to become State-level cross-border e-commerce comprehensive trial zones. Since then, Guiyang has rolled out a series of supporting policies and measures to help local cross-border e-commerce thrive.

Under the guidance of the Guiyang bureau of commerce, the Guiyang import and export enterprise association has arranged for import retailers to explore new business models, and held in-depth discussions on how to regulate cross-border e-commerce and develop a fairer business environment.

The association finally formulated the cross-border self-discipline proposals under the 1210 customs supervision code, mainly involving business codes, credibility, and relevant laws and regulations.

The Guiyang import and export enterprise association was launched by 10 foreign traders and has a branch in charge of cross-border e-commerce. It serves to boost communications among the industry, the government and society so as to promote the high-quality development of Guiyang's open economy.
