The 2021 ranking of cross-border e-commerce integrated pilot zones was issued by the Ministry of Commerce on March 29, and Guiyang's cross-border e-commerce integrated pilot zone was ranked second.
The ranking targeted the 105 cross-border e-commerce integrated pilot zones in China, which were assessed in terms of 45 indicators in work mechanisms, export and import turnover, overseas warehouses, e-commerce industrial parks, talent training, and cooperation and exchange.
In July 2018, Guiyang was selected among the third group of national cross-border e-commerce integrated pilot zones. The city has since adopted multiple measures to improve trade methods, enhance top-down design, and optimize its business environment.
Last year, Guiyang's cross-border e-commerce turnover hit 3.23 billion yuan ($508.08 million), up 20 percent year-on-year, with mainstream customs supervision models with codes 1210, 9610, 9710 and 9810 all becoming available in the city.
Guiyang has also focused on building major cross-border e-commerce projects, including the western China import and export commodity exhibition and trading center, and introducing leading enterprises in this field from Ningbo, Shanghai and other parts of the nation.
