The Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce – based in the capital city of Guiyang – reportedly rolled out 22 specific measures recently, to facilitate the development of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Seven out of the 22 measures focus on getting more industrial products engaged in foreign trade, as well as reducing the logistics costs of exports.
Leading products – especially in areas of modern chemicals engineering, advanced equipment manufacturing, big data, pollution-free food, electronics information and healthcare – will get top priority in terms of helping them to enter and expand in international markets.
The regional government is encouraging manufacturers to participate in domestic and international expos, to explore new markets.
Attention is being given to attracting foreign investments, especially those from Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and European countries. It is understood attractive policies will be drafted soon to further improve the investment environment for international investors.
Economic and technological development zones in the province are being encouraged to take a variety of development paths by making full use of their own particular skills, resources and expertise.
In addition, the commerce department has also issued seven measures to expand trade, commerce and urbanization, as well as three measures to establish agricultural product logistics systems and five measures to boost tourist spending.
