The Italian Chamber of Commerce (Guizhou) sent representatives to visit the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guiyang Sub-Council on July 23.
The chamber's businesses are mainly involved in international studies, cooperation between Chinese and Italian educational institutions to run schools, and artistic and cultural exchanges. The chamber representative expressed a desire to further strengthen collaboration between Italy and Guiyang in trade and cultural communications.
Zheng Xuke, deputy director of the sub-council, introduced previous programs carried out by the two sides. She also expressed hope that the chamber could promote in-depth cooperation between Guiyang and Italy in investment, consumption, culture, education, arts, and sports, and that the two sides could actively engage in new areas, such as environmental protection, medicine, and aerospace.
The chamber is now reportedly making careful investigations into Guiyang's market, and is trying to introduce Italian restaurants that suit local people's tastes and purchasing power in the city. Meanwhile, more affordable Italian luxury brands will open their first outlets in Guiyang.
