Statistics show that Guiyang's consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.5 percent year-on-year in April.
Compared with the same period last year, Guiyang's food price index decreased by 0.6 percent. Price indexes of transportation and communication, health care, and other products and services were up by 4.7 percent, 0.3 percent and 1.5 percent, respectively.
From a national perspective, Guiyang's CPI rise in April was lower than the country's by 0.4 percentage points, making Guiyang rank 31 among the 36 big- and medium-sized cities.
