As an integral part of the provincial Guizhou-Jiangsu cooperation campaign, a signing ceremony was held on May 11, in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guiyang province.
The ceremony signaled the official start of an in-depth, multi-area collaboration between the two regions. Districts and counties in Guiyang all actively took part, and successfully explored opportunities for development.
Wudang district, for example, signed a contract with both Jiangsu and Guangdong provinces for a digital economy industrial park supported by the three provincial governments. The contract involves a total investment of 20 million yuan ($3 million).
The Wudang government has pledged to further streamline its governance, optimize measures to better its business environment, simplify government review procedures and cut or exempt taxes on enterprises, in order to encourage market entities and raise their satisfaction level with the government.
Xifeng county successfully signed two projects with Jiangsu, which involve a total investment of 216 million yuan and will inject new vitality into the local market.
In order to better serve new businesses, the county has established government service halls in its 11 towns. In addition, the convenience stations set up in 178 residential areas also handle some government services. The government has also extended its service times, opened a fast-track channel, and offered door-to-door and online services to make it easier for companies to run businesses there.
Xiuwen county also signed two contract agreements worth 140 million yuan. The county invited notable Jiangsu-based corporations, including Yanghe Distillery, to pay a field trip to Xiuwen.
Qingzhen county has formed partnerships with nearly 40 Jiangsu companies, including Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co, and laid a solid foundation for further cooperation with the two provinces.
