Wudang continues to optimize business environment

Wudang district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been committed to improving its business environment to support its high-quality development, according to local media reports.

A great example is Haohuo (Guizhou) Network Technology Co. Established in August 2020 in the district, the company is a comprehensive employment service platform applying big data technology.

Following settlement in Wudang, the company has received care and support from local government departments and units, which have helped to implement preferential policies and tackle various problems regarding talents, subject applications and regulations, said Liu Haishan, vice-president of the company.

Thanks to the great business environment in Guiyang and Wudang, Haohuo Technology has achieved rapid development. Since its establishment, the company has realized big data revenue of more than 1.6 billion yuan ($248.8 million), paid nearly 50 million yuan in taxes and maintained an average monthly income growth rate of 20 percent. It has served more than 150,000 flexible employees.

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020), Wudang district streamlined the procedures for handling government affairs. A total of 5,889 items were all included in the provincial government's service processing network, and all businesses can now be handled online.

The district also implemented national tax reduction policies and regulations to support the development of small, medium and micro-sized enterprises, reducing and exempting various taxes and fees worth more than 4 billion yuan.

Due to the continuously optimized business environment, market vitality has been activated. During the past five years, Wudang district added 68,783 market players and 54 high-tech enterprises. It also introduced 75 high-quality enterprises and 109 cooperative projects with a total value of 63.2 billion yuan.
