With the approach of China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will be held in East China's Shanghai on Nov 5-10, over 180 companies from Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, have signed up to attend.
The number of companies planning to attend the trade event is a significant increase compared with the previous two expos.
The companies are involved in the fields of service trade, automobiles, technical equipment, consumer goods, medical equipment and medicine, as well as food and agricultural products.
Guiyang's business delegation will attend Guizhou's economic and trade exchange events during CIIE to sign nine investment projects with a total contract volume of $4.87 billion, which occupies 86 percent of Guizhou's total investment project amount.
Meanwhile, five trade procurement projects with a contract volume of $253 million will be signed, occupying 44 percent of Guizhou's total trade procurement amount.
At the economic and trade exchange events, Guiyang will also introduce the business environment in Guiyang and Guian New Area to the world. The metropolis will reveal its open economy features and its desire to become a middle and high-end trade city.
