Commercial counselors from the Embassy of the Republic of Ecuador and the Embassy of the Togolese Republic in China were invited to visit the Guiyang bureau of commerce on Sept 18 to learn more about Guiyang's foreign trade and economic exchange prospects.
Zheng Xuke, vice president of the Guiyang branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, presided over the symposium and introduced the counselors to Guiyang's economic situation and trade activities in 2019. Zheng also discussed the city's current development strategy, which focuses on expanding the medium- and high-end consumer market and trade.
The commercial counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Ecuador said that his country's climate and geography are similar to Southwest China's Guizhou province and that agricultural and fisheries products are its major exports. He stated that he hopes some Ecuadorian products will be exported to Guiyang in the future.
The counselor of Togo also expressed his desire for in-depth communication and exchanges with Guiyang in big data industry development, ecological environment, infrastructure construction and agriculture.
Zheng invited two counselors and entrepreneurs from the two countries to attend next year's China International Big Data Industry Expo in Guiyang to gain an in-depth understanding of the city's big data industry. Zheng also expressed his hope to cooperate with the economic and commercial offices of the two embassies.
