The official launch of research into projects related to the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor was held in Guiyang, provincial capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province on Sept 15.
The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor is a trade and logistics passage jointly built by western Chinese provincial regions and Singapore, under the framework of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity.
Tang Rong, deputy director of the Guiyang municipal bureau of commerce, gave a presentation on the research.
Tang said it will focus on a series of problems concerning industrial growth in Guiyang, against the background of the development of the trade corridor.
Li Muyuan, executive vice-president of China Container Industry Association, together with the association's consulting research group, conducted comprehensive exchanges.
These were about Guiyang's transportation infrastructure and logistics service capacity supply levels, its industrial status and development needs, as well as regional competition and cooperation.
The exchanges were based on material about the development of Guiyang Port, preliminary research and the latest operational situation of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.
In the wake of the meeting, an expert team will conduct field research into the opening-up of platforms and key projects in Nanming district, Qingzhen city in Guiyang, Guiyang Free Trade Zone, Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone and Gaimao railway port.
The team will also have discussions and exchanges with the Port office of Guizhou Provincial Government, the Guizhou Development and Reform Commission and Guizhou Wengfu Group -- to put together a research outline and development plan.
