Guiyang commerce bureau investigates work resumption

Zhang Taibing, deputy director of the Guiyang municipal bureau of commerce, went to Nanming district in Guiyang city on Feb 19 on a fact-finding mission to survey the work resumption situation of local enterprises, local officials said. 

Zhang inspected Dongfang Steel Market, Guiyang Xingli Department Store Group's Dananmen store and Tuanpoqiao gas station of Sinopec Group. 

He examined their implementation of novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control measures and inquired about the difficulties businesses were having in resuming work. 

Currently, the Dongfang Steel Market has resumed operations and strengthened its online business. 

Guiyang Xingli Department Store Group's Dananmen store has restarted business. 

The counters in the store are maintaining on-site services for 1-2 people. to reduce personnel density.

Meanwhile, the store has launched online sales, achieving more than 500,000 yuan ($71,887.63) on Feb 19, equivalent to 50 percent of normal average daily sales.

The Tuanpoqiao gas station has retained 24-hour service during the epidemic period and ensured the supply of refined oil in Guiyang, while strengthening epidemic prevention and control by conducting daily disinfections and employee temperature measurements. 

Zhang emphasized the importance of work resumption and said that he will actively coordinate with various parties to help solve companies' problems. 

Meanwhile, he urged businesses to do a good job in epidemic prevention and control and use disinfection materials and alcohol properly to avoid accidents.
