Guiyang provides subsidies to support companies resume work

The Guiyang bureau of investment promotion in Southwest China's Guizhou province recently issued 4.9 million yuan ($697,806.89) of subsidies to support companies resume work after the extended Spring Festival holiday caused by the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The subsidies will be used to purchase medical supplies and promote online investment attraction activities for key companies.

In addition, to solve the problem of medical supply shortages, which is essential to virus prevention and control, the bureau has also attracted several face mask production projects to Guiyang that will soon begin operation.

A medical equipment company in Guiyang's Qingzhen county has produced supplies at full capacity to guarantee the supply of face masks. With the help of a local government department, the company soon solved the problem of raw materials and expanded the daily output of face masks from 20,000 to 80,000.

Xifeng county's investment promotion bureau successfully introduced a 5 million yuan face mask production line, and issued a business license in one hour by online application.

The production line will produce 100,000 face masks when put into operation by the end of February.

In the future, the Guiyang bureau of investment promotion will learn the difficulties faced by companies and arrange online investment attraction events to promote economic development.
