A delegation from the Guiyang municipal bureau of commerce led by Director Liu Lisha on Jan 6 investigated progress in the construction – as well as the safety conditions -- for the new Western Import and Export Commodities Exhibition and Sales Center.
The government delegation inspected the project's national pavilion and was brief on the overall situation as well as problems that needed to be solved on site.
Western Import and Export Commodities Exhibition and Sales Center is to open in Guiyang city in southwestern Guizhou province in March.
Local officials said it will be a comprehensive import trade and cross-border e-commerce platform providing financial and bonded services.
The facility is jointly being built by the local Guanshanhu district government and Guiyang Cross Border E-commerce Platform Co.
The commerce bureau chief urged the project to play a demonstration role in developing opening up-related projects.
She said the builders should consider safety, the buying preferences of young consumers as well as the integrated development of the international consumption center and Guizhou's high-end products.
Guiyang municipal bureau of commerce will offer services to facilitate the project construction, she added.
