Guiyang authorized for approval of certificate of origin

Guiyang Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Southwest China's Guizhou province, issued the city's first certificate of origin (CO) for a local company on Nov 13, as part of the city's efforts to improve its public service system for foreign and economic trade. 

All import and export enterprises registered in Guiyang can apply for the CO after the council's first CO issuance to the Guizhou SOBEKK Precision Instrument Co. 

The Guiyang council, with the support of the provincial council for the promotion of international trade, was approved by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade at the end of 2018.

The Guiyang council is gradually taking responsibility for the direct issuance of COs for export goods from enterprises in foreign and economic trade across the city, ensuring smooth customs clearances for them. 

By Nov 25, the council has been connected to five enterprises in Guiyang, and more than 80 enterprises, which have been put on record by the Guiyang municipal bureau of commerce, have the potential to be connected.

The Guiyang commerce bureau will continue to provide better services for foreign and trade enterprises in the city, through introducing the rules of origin in global free trade zones, origin business and the latest policies. 

Nationwide work on integrating the licensing of foreign trade businesses and origin enterprises began on Oct 15. Enterprises that have been put on record as foreign trade businesses can apply for a CO from the Central Administration of Customs and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, their local branches and other institutes.
