Guizhou's foreign trade booms in first three quarters

During the first three quarters of this year, Southwest China's Guizhou province has realized a total foreign trade of 31.54 billion yuan ($4.52 billion), including 22.72 billion yuan in exports and 8.82 billion yuan in imports.

Provincial capital Guiyang contributed to 60.4 percent of Guizhou's foreign trade, including 1.59 billion yuan in bonded logistics, an increase of 55 percent.

Guizhou's imports and exports with Australia and Japan have seen rapid growth, reaching 1.98 billion yuan and 1.35 billion yuan respectively.

The import value of manganese ore reached 931 million yuan, increasing by 76.4 percent, and iron ore reached 548 million yuan, increasing by 11.1 percent.

The export value of Guizhou's agricultural products continues to grow, with flue-cured tobacco growing by 17.5 percent, reaching 439 million yuan, and tea increasing by 32.2 percent, reaching 181 million yuan, while liquor had the largest export value of 2.48 billion yuan, an increase of 23.1 percent.

Guizhou achieved positive growth of exports for two consecutive months in August and September, increasing by 6 percent and 10.3 percent respectively.
