Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, signed 22 projects at a medium-high manufacturing industry conference, held in the city on Sept 9, along with the 9th International Alcoholic Beverage Expo.
Covering six new industries, including new materials, advanced manufacturing, healthy medicinal herbs, and the digital industry, the 22 projects are expected to bring 8.8 billion yuan ($1.24 billion) to Guiyang, with representative projects from Poly Group and Baoneng Group.
Co-established by the Guiyang city government and the Guiyang investment promotion bureau, the conference was expected to enhance cooperation among enterprises from Guiyang and places outside of the city.
Benefiting from Guiyang's continuous efforts in opening-up, deepening exchanges, and business environment optimization, these projects are expected to support related industries increase their operations.
In addition, the conference provided better insights into Guiyang's development in several industries, especially medium-high manufacturing and consumption, new energy, new materials, culture and tourism, modern service, modern agriculture, medical development, as well as digital innovation.
The new energy battery industry park in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the smart manufacturing park in Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, the new energy automobile supporting park in Guiyang Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, and the artificial intelligence park in the Comprehensive Bonded Zone were also promoted at the conference.
