Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been committed to developing a new industrialization system, with electronic information manufacturing as the leading industry and ecological food as the characteristic industry. Efforts have been made to promote the operation and development of a batch of projects, which have yielded significant results.
At the Touchworks Optoelectronics Industrial Base in Huaxi, the production lines and motors run nonstop. Last year, this private enterprise, which focuses on capacitive touchscreens and other products, achieved a production value of over 90 million yuan ($12.55 million) and created over 600 local jobs.
"We plan to add a new production line and further enhance the entire product supply chain. Our goal this year is to achieve a production value of 200 million yuan," said Chen Kabin, the company's general manager.
The Huaxi Surface Treatment Industrial Park officially opened in September this year. Covering an area of 190 mu (12.67 hectares) and with an investment total of around 1.1 billion yuan, the park serves industries including electronic information, aerospace, automotive parts, mining machinery, electrical power, and hardware and bathroom products. It is the only operational electroplating centralized processing center in the province.
After full production begins, the park will have over 200 high-standard production lines and is expected to attract more than 100 enterprises. This will drive the development of surface treatment enterprises in Huaxi and Guiyang, thereby fostering new momentum and advantages for the province's new industrialization.
